Abstract

Apple Computer, Inc., ignited the personal computer revolution in the 1970s with the Apple II, and reinvented the personal computer in the 1980s with the Macintosh. Apple is now committed to its original mission-to bring the best personal computing products and support to students, educators, designers, scientists, engineers, business persons and consumers in over 140 countries around the world

Purpose of the Project

ACDDIS is one of subsystems of Apple Customer Database. There are many sources of information about customers, products and programs. Hundreds megabytes of data are collected by Apple monthly. All data is stored in the Apple Customer Database. ACDDIS is to transform data into ACD format, check it and store in DB 

Objectives

Provide easy-to-use, stable, powerful tool to perform data integrity process.

Customer Requirements

Process inbound files: Epsilon, Verity, Warranty Pre-Reg, iReg, Seminar, NCOA, DMA, Address Update.
Process control by the information from special tables in ACD.
Inbound data standardization and verification;
Inbound files field validation against master tables in ACD;
Determination: market code, product ID, company ID, person ID of the records of the inbound files;
Updating product person and program person information of the records of the inbound files;
Committing the transformed information into ACD.
Storing process?s exceptions and errors in the appropriate tables in ACD.
