Abstract
DYMO has been the global leader in labeling and identification products for more than 40 years. Today, DYMO manufactures and distributes a broad range of innovative products for home, office and industrial use.
Purpose of the Project
The Dymo Label Engine is a DLL that lies at the heart of the Dymo Label Software application. Although the label engine was originally designed for use with the Dymo LabelWriter printers, it is desirable to use it for applications designed for Dymo?s continuous tape printers, including the PC10 and Dymo 9000 units. In order to meet this need, the label engine is to be enhanced so that it may be used for label or continuous tape printers.
Major Features and Functions
- Processing of Label Definitions file for obtaining label names, shapes and sizes.
- On-screen display of label and objects on the label, with programmable zoom
- Printing of label objects
- Handling all common label objects (addresses, text, lines, graphics, bar codes, etc), including getting and setting the characteristics of the objects
