Word Add-In

Abstract

Customer, an Esselte company, is a leading manufacturer of specialty printers, software and supplies for printing labels, bar codes, receipts, and identification badges. Customer’s products provide solutions for many applications required by office workers, vertical market solution providers, and original equipment manufacturers.

Purpose of the Project

Beginning with Microsoft Word 95, Microsoft included limited support for the LabelWriter directly from within Microsoft Word (can be accessed through Tools — Envelopes and Labels dialog box). However the Microsoft implementation lacks some of the key features such as: 

• Shrink to Fit
• POSTNET Bar Codes
• Address Correction
• Pre-defined Templates

This Add-In was intended as a solution to the above listed customer expectations.
